Would you like to play a part in shaping the future of our community? Do you care about local issues and want to help make Appleton an even better place to live, work and visit?

Appleton Parish Council is seeking enthusiastic and committed residents to join the Council as Parish Councillors.

What does a Parish Councillor do?

Parish Councillors work together to:

  • Represent the views and interests of local residents.
  • Help make decisions on local services and community projects.
  • Influence planning and development matters affecting the parish.
  • Support initiatives that improve the quality of life in the community.
  • Manage local facilities, amenities and resources.

Who can apply?

You may be eligible to become a Parish Councillor if you:

  • Are at least 18 years old.
  • Are a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen (or meet other qualifying criteria).
  • Live, work, own property, or have close connections within the parish area.

No previous experience is required. What matters most is a genuine interest in the community, a willingness to listen to residents, and the commitment to attend Council meetings.
